Hard and Smart Work from the begining

   Vicotek, LLC began corporate operations in 2002 in Birmingham, AL in the United States with the main goal of providing affordable quality and reliable truck equipment and parts for the Utility Service and Construction Industry including Aerial and Underground Electrical Power Lines, Forestry - Tree Care, Telecommunications, Traffic Lights, Sign, Oil, and Mine Industries. Also, Consulting Services on International Business related to these markets and products were highly demanded. At the beginning it was a one-faithful man company selling equipment and parts from a laptop computer, with the lowest overhead cost possible. Quickly the strategy of putting the customer’s needs ahead of the business financial revenue started to demand more business response capacity. The solution: Repeat what worked, team-up with another faithful man with a laptop.

 

   Family is the core of our principles. We appeal to the human capacity to perform at a high productive potential while fully attending and enjoying families.

Simplicity and Innovation

    Vicotek currently functions as the headquarters of the company group with operations in Huntsville, AL. in the United States. Home of the NASA US Space and Rocket Center and many technologically innovative corporations that are sources of inspiration, knowledge, and business opportunities. Several local manufacturing and engineering companies are part of our group of companies we partner with to position their products and services in many unattended global markets and development of new products and projects.

With a clear mission and vision in mind, more than 35 years of experience in designing, repairing, and selling Industrial and Commercial Mobile Equipment, and valuable partnership with top-notch related companies we have expanded our reach beyond the United States’ boundaries with regular customers in Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. Many customers became regular and requested support with similar kind equipment with different applications which prompt Vicotek to expand operations to supply additional types of equipment that includes the marine, alternative industrial and commercial electric power, ports, and airports sectors worldwide.

 

 

Sustainability and recycling commitment

  Our approach to the Secondary Market is in line with part of our mission to contribute to having a more sustainable and cleaner planet. With many years in this business, we have seen all over the world much equipment piled up rusting causing many types of contamination to the environment. Brand new equipment is a manufacturer’s reflection of strength, innovation, and resilience. Also, the brand shines with blinding sparks. On the other hand, when an equipment is abandoned rusting and polluting with oil leaking everywhere showing the once sparkling brand logo, what does it say about the manufacturer? Quick questions arise: How old is the equipment? Why is it abandoned? Maybe costly repair? Why is it so rusty and leaking everywhere? Is it poor-quality disposable equipment? And the key question: Does the manufacturer care or even know about the effect of this reputation in times of social media? We always wonder if this wasted equipment could have been an opportunity or treasure for a company interested in affordable equipment. And we work hard to make it happen.

   Most of the responsibility of the process of decommissioning equipment often relies on manufacturers distributors. Usually without any planning from either party. Standard distributorship focused on selling as much as possible. That is mainly the requirement of many manufacturers. Distributors based in foreign countries apply the business strategies that are normally used locally. Long term vision is uncommon. Much less marketing research and brand prestige preservation. Mistakes like these cost markets to manufacturers. And with a more interconnected global communication any brand stain can be seen anywhere in the world with collateral consequences.

 

   Despite all the negative connotation of this reality, we at Vicotek see it as an opportunity we can use our resources and expertise to help our clients keep their brands impeccable by preserving as much as possible their equipment working and keeping the environment cleaner without affecting the manufacturers’ expansion with new products.
